Clear Application cache
 Clearing the cache files of larger applications and games gives  many MB back. To remove  cache follow following steps

Settings > Applications > Manage Applications then select the applications >  hit clear cache button

Remove System Software updates of  Google Maps,YouTube,  Market etc,

  Google maps which gets updates continuously is pretty big in size, it occupies about almost 13 MB on phone memory . YouTube and market updates also have much large size one can get more space by uninstalling the same.

Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > select the application>  uninstall updates. 

Disable Windows Startup Programs using MSConfig

When we install  softwares most of the time  programs  automatically launchs when PC  boots which slow downs startup of windows . Also it to boring to close all opened  auto launched programs each time. Here is a simple trick for disabling Windows Startup Programs


 Configuration Utility (MSConfig)

1.  Click "Start menu" search msconfig

2.  Click on " msconfig" a window showing auto start applications will appear


3. Uncheck whatever is to be dissabled

4. click "OK" after making changes

 5. On prompting to restart, restart  the computer to make changes

NOTE : Disabling all programs is not recommended as it may stop loading important drivers and important software's like antivirus 

Restore all windows settings without formatting installing windows

So many times it happens that we change some setting in windows  and we mess up with everything . Also it is many a times difficult to remember the default settings  of windows. to solve this problem their an excellent small utility tool RefreshPC  which is freeware. It detects operating system automatically and applies fixes.

· Reduce errors in the Event Viewer
· Fix service misconfigurations that may be causing problems including slow   boots.
· Clean your temporary folders.
· Reset key registry entries back to their default values.

NTLDR is missing Press any key to restart

  1. Computer is booting from a non-bootable source.
  2. Computer hard disk drive is not properly setup in BIOS.
  3. Corrupt NTLDR and NTDETECT.COM file.
  4. Misconfiguration with the boot.ini file.
  5. New hard disk drive being added.
  6. Corrupt boot sector  or master boot record.
  7. Loose or Faulty  hard disk drive cable.
  8. Failing to enable USB keyboard support in the BIOS  
Insert the Bootable Windows XP CD into your computer (DVD/CD-ROM) and restart your computer.

When prompted to press any key to boot from the CD, press any key.

Once in the Windows XP setup menu press the "R" key to repair Windows.
 Log into your Windows installation by pressing the "1" key and pressing enter.
If prompted for your administrator password, enter that password.
Copy the below two files to the root directory of the primary hard disk. 
In the below example we are copying these files from the CD-ROM drive letter, which in this case is "F." This letter may be different in different computer.

 Once both of these files have been successfully copied, remove the CD from the computer and reboot.

Android applcation location (APK) of Installed applications from Android Market

We always use  Android Market to download and install Apps but we never know where the downloaded  APK installer file of that applicationis saved !!!!!!

Important requirement to begin with is you need a Rooted Phone.

On a rooted Android phone, Download  ES File Explorer.
If you are you are using ES File Explorer then
1.  go to settings and
2 enable “Root Explorer” option to get access to root Directories.

3.  Go to location address – /data/app/  here all apks are stored

This is useful if one wants  to backup  the installers which saves time as no need to download them again

 Also,  APK can can be send to other  mobile phone via Bluetooth

1. InstallAirdroid” on your Android Device from the Android Market and get connected to internet via WiFi

2. After installing Airdroid . Run it and you will see interface shown below .
Airdroid with a URL field and the password field.
3.  Open Firefox or etc etc Browser to enter that URL and password and make a successful wireless remote connection between Device and Web Browser.
4. Enter the URL you see in your Airdroid Device App in your web browsers field like below .:
