1. Open Instagram on your Browser
2. Tap on Profile Icon
3. Tap on "Edit Profile" Option
4. Tap the "Privacy and Security" option
5. Tap on "View Account Data" under Account Data 
6. Under Account Activity heading, Click on" View all" under the search history subs heading
7. Tap on "Clear Search History"
8. Click on "Yes I'm Sure" to Clear Search History

If you search for topics, people or trends etc on the Instagram app, all the actions you perform are stored inside the app. if you don't want to retain your recent searches then you can clear search history from the app.

1. Open the Instagram app on your Mobile
2. Tap on Profile icon present at the right-hand bottom of the screen
3. Tap the three parallel lines icon at the top of the page (right-hand side) 
4. Tap on "Settings" present at the bottom of the screen
5. Tap on "Privacy"
6. tap "Search History" present at the bottom of the screen
7. Under Recent Searches. Tap "Clear all"
8. You will see a Warning "Clear search History? You won't"be able to undo this. If you clear Your search history. you may still see accounts  you've searched for as suggested results"
9. Tap "Clear All" and you will see No search History on your mobile screen

That's it now if you go to Search and Explore (Magnifying gas icon) you notice that all search terms are deleted.

You just deleted search history but remember that if you ma a new search, then the new searches will be saved again
