 How to Shade a Box in Word

If you are working in Microsoft Word and you need to insert a text box and want to shade a box in a word document then this article will show you step by step process through which you can easily fill in single color or multiple colors in the Box. Let's get started.

Following are the Steps 

1. First Step is to open the Word document

2. Then Click on the "Insert Tab" and Under the "Textbox" option select "Draw textbox"

3. Now draw a text box, type in the text box what you want 

4. To change color right click on the box border and go to the "Format Shape" option

5. Under the "Fill" option select "Solid Fill" and under the "Color" select the color of your choice 

6. If you want to shade a box with different colors at the same time then select "Gradient fill"

7. Click on the Gradient Stop arrow and select the first color and similarly click on the next arrow and select different colors to shade

8. Fell free to explore Gradient options like shade direction type etc.
